From when I was quite young, I had been given tidbits of time in the Adirondacks visiting family and friends. This time was enough to feel it's warmth and as a young adult living in California, wanted it's comforts. Art itself has been a life long pursuit, always drawn to nature for its rawest form of beauty, comfort , change, adventure and even danger. Representing this in the art of oil painting is a way of sharing what I value and support protecting. Although I like to travel and my work branches out beyond the Adirondack Mountains, this is where I have chosen to live, raise my son Larry and have been inspired for the past 27 years that I have lived here.

Each year I see beautiful and inspiring locations, each with original unique natural compositions, light, colour, etc.. Each year I am only able to paint one or two of these incredible sites, other than the welcome commitments to commissions . For those of you who know my work, each painting is approached with time consuming patience and concentration to capture the deeper essence of the subjects' original conception. Therefore, the rewards in completing even four or five works of art will be significantly rewarding.
